30 Miles in 30 Days WALKATHON
a fundraiser to benefit women and girls
Join the 30/30 Fitness Challenge!
WHEN: January 1 through January 30
WHERE: Anywhere you can walk/run/bike safely!
WHAT: You sign up online, pledge $1 per mile walked (or whatever you can afford) and walk/run/bike a total of 30 miles in January. Online options include donating without walking, signing up as an individual, joining an existing team, forming your own team, downloading a walking log to keep track of miles, and signing up for our free Human Trafficking Awareness Event and Walk with Guest Speaker on Saturday, January 27.
WHY: Funds raised from this Challenge will go to our club’s Service Fund to support our mission of supporting the education of women and girls who face obstacles, including human trafficking, domestic abuse and poverty.

Whether you choose to walk or run inside, outside, on a treadmill, on a bike…we only challenge you to cover 30 miles in 30 days in January. This challenge is excellent motivation for you to get in shape while raising money for a good cause!
*ABOUT the LIVE YOUR DREAM Award:
Soroptimist’s Live Your Dream Awards program is a unique education award for women who provide the primary financial support for their families. The Live Your Dream Awards give women the resources they need to improve their education, skills and employment prospects. Every year, Soroptimist distributes more than $2.8 million in education awards to about 1,700 women all over the world.
Over half of our Live Your Dream Awards recipients are survivors of domestic violence, trafficking or sexual assault. Nearly all of the women and families we serve have overcome enormous obstacles, including poverty, teen pregnancy, and drug or alcohol addiction. Live Your Dream Awards recipients may use the cash award to offset any costs associated with their efforts to attain higher education, such as books, childcare, tuition and transportation.
The last two Walkathons raised over $15,000. Let’s do it again!

In 2022, our 2nd Annual Virtual Walkathon raised over $4,000! THANK YOU all who donated! Funds raised through pledges and donations enabled us to fund one Live Your Dream Education & Training award specifically to a woman who had been trafficked.
2021: OVER $11,000 RAISED!
In 2021, our first-ever Virtual Walkathon raised over $11,000! THANK YOU all who donated! All funds raised through pledges and donations has been split between two local North County San Diego organizations fighting human trafficking: Alabaster Jar‘s Grace House and North County Lifeline’s Project LIFE.
